Got a new S2k With Problems

Default Got a new S2k With Problems

Well trading my old s2000 in i didnt like any othere cars so i went and
Bought a Ap1 2002 s2k with 55k Miles. The check engine light is on and it idles at 1400rpm and if i rev it or come to a complete stop it will die out.If i where to turn the car on after it dies out it wont let me Go past 3000 Rpms, but if i turn it off and on then it drives normal. The car Dose have mods. It has a Catback (Not sure wich brand) And a CAI...a N A/ Turbo timer on it and all this ground wires. I was thinking maybe one of my sensorse are going bad.


Please Help me out I really want to keep this car.

If it were me (and I know nothing compared to these other guys on here) I'd try removing some of the mods one at a time and see if the car acts any different. Did it all of a sudden happen? No indication? Just started it one day and it started stalling? You might want to give these guys all the info you can (funny sounds etc).

I'd start by taking off all the ground wires.

I would have someone run a systems check to see what codes are being thrown. You can go to Autozone & they will do it. At least that way you will know where to start looking.

I think they do it for free too if I'm not mistaken, but don't quote me on that.
