Got A Problem
ok for graduation my dad was gonna help me buy an S2000!
but now hes saying the only way i can get one is to trade in his volvo C70 becuase he doesn't see the point in 2 convertibles per-family. but i don't want him to cause he loves that car but i really want a s2000 what should i do?

Pay for it yourself so he can't find fault with it, or find another car that you like. Not to sound harsh or anything, but unless he's really ready to get rid of the volvo (which it doesn't sound like he is), then I don't see how you can in good conscience get an s2k.

The C70 and S2000 are definitely built for different target markets..

Come on man. Grow up. Based upon what you've said you've got a simple choice. Do you want an S2000 so much that you're willing to have your Dad trade in a car he loves as much as you think you'll love the S2000. If all this is true then you've just got to decide whether you're a selfish, spoiled brat or not. If it were me I'd say "Dad I know you love your car and I don't want you to part with it. If that's part of the deal then I won't get the S2000." But that's just me.
