Tell him to drive it and enjoy it

I didn't do anything to mine until 6 months after owning it.

Best mod for a new owner is to mod himself...take the car autoxing or to a performance driving school to learn how the car behaves in order to get the most performance out of it in stock trim.

It's a cheap mod...fun too...and transferrable to all other vehicles.

I agree with leave it stock for awhile.. at least in the performance category. I wouldn't be adverse to aesthetic modifications such as new badges, headlight diffusers, leather console cover, etc. After a couple months he should have a much better idea about what exactly he wants to change. Does he want to go faster? Does he want to handle better? Does he want to look cool rolling around on the ground, scraping speed bumps? etc.

he is just interested in patching any potential weak points in the car for now. he is a little scared of the new rwd thing but he is having fun learning. his throttle cabe has about 2 inches of play haha and he said it dosent feel as responsive as an 03 he drove, any adjustments to stock parts/bushing replacements you can think of that would be cheap/benifical?
