I've had good luck using polishing compound on small scuffs, like when a fence post went flying across my hood.

I hate trucks, i was behind one the other day, and all i saw was these little pebbles bouncing off and behind it like it was raining. So i slowed down like i just passed a cop lol.

If the paint scuff did not break the surface, you can use a rubbing compound or a product called "scratch out". I used it on my hard top yesterday where I had a paint scuff and easily removed it.

I'm sorry, I can't help but laugh, and I only hope you were being sarcastic. I seriously laughed out loud when I read that comment.

If only. The post gave up its life. I ended up replacing the bumper. The hood took only a glancing shot and survived with minor abrasions, which cleaned up nicely with the polishing compound.
