Default Great, my car won't start

All around crappy day. Mandatory OT on my one day off a week with my wife, crappy pouring rain, sold my E30 today (mixed feelings), and after my 10 hr work day, I go out to start my car and no luck. It cranks and cranks and cranks but won't turn over. It's kind of depressing since I've only had the car for about 3-4 weeks and it has 55K miles and I just sold my problem free E30 TODAY and this happens.

Just wanted to vent a little. Feel free to offer some thoughts and/or encouragement...

if t cranks and cranks with no sign of starting i would tend to think fuel pump. though honda's don't generally have pump issues like cevy's used to.

how low are you on gas, or how low were you last time you filled up? running them to low and sucking air is a good way to burn up a pump, though as i said, honda's are generally fool proof with their pumps, so def check all your relays too.

Stock? CAI? Maybe the rain has something to do with it?

Im not sure what is more ironic selling a working car and having your other breakdown. Or having a working e30 and a broken honda.

The reason I had mixed feelings about selling the E30 is that I expected that it would be problem-free far longer than the S2000. But if anything did go wrong, it would be simple to fix.

I must be the exception to the rule as I have owned probably 8 or so VWs and now on my second Honda. My first (2002 Civic Si) was plagued with electrical problems which I am guessing was from a hack job of aftermarket parts that were taken off before I bought it--I loved that car, but it was just a nightmare. My Volkswagens on the other hand; I never once had a single problem with any of them, anywhere from 18K miles up to 160K+

Anyhow, the S2000 is working fine now. It must have just been the battery. I guess I thought is was cranking whereas it must have just been the starter spinning. I jumped it the next morning and it fired right up. It must have been the cold/rain and the battery just didnt feel like doing anything.

It is completely stock. It was raining on my way to work that day, and then all day while it sat outside. I thought I might have gotten water in the distributor. Who knows, that may be the problem and it just dried out til I started it again; I guess time will tell.
