Well not great, maybe pretty good, who am I kidding it's just another lousy question. Here is the deal - 7,500 miles and my stock S-02s are on their way out. I can get a couple more months out of them, but come Oct-Nov they will need to be replaced. For me the S2k is a daily driver, so I'll drive it through the winter. Although we don't get much snow here (went to school in NY and the inlaws live in Green Bay so I know what real snow is) I have read enough to know that any snow is too much if you are driving on S-02s. So although I love the S-02s (esp. when I go and hit the Dragon) I will need something else for the winter. Ideally I would get a second set of wheels in the spring and put S-02s on them and just switch wheels with the seasons. As much as I would like to do that I don't see if happening because of the $$. So here is where I am looking for advice. Need a tire that offers good performance and will handle the occasional dusting (1-3 inches) of snow. Current tires that I am considering are

S-03s
Bridgestone Potenza RE 940
Dunlop SP Sport 5000
Yokohama Avs dB

Open to any recommendations/ suggestions.

Thanx & see you @ Dragonball run

I don't have any experience with the Dunlop Sport 5000's but I can recommend the Sport 9000. They are very good tires (grippy in dry and wet). To me they seem to communicate the car's ballance a little better than the stock S02's but they aren't quite as grippy.
