LSD Damage question
I have a quick question regarding the LSD in the s2000. I know if you are constantly spinning the tires the LSD will will eventually wear from trying to balance power between the wheels. My question is will wear much more if tires are spinning on dry pavement opposed to snow or rain conditions?
I have never had a car with LSD and i will be driving my car in the winter so i was curious if constant tire spinning in the snow will be putting a great deal of stress on the mechanical components inside the transmission especially the LSD. My theory is NO because dry pavement forces the LSD to work much harder to force traction to the non spinning tire compared to snow or wet conditions.
What does s2ki think??
