Greatest S2000 peeve.
Not fast enough. It is decently fast but IMHO a car should be sub 5 second to be considered a fast car. Lots of GTs are thrashing us now. Like the owner of TVR once said(can only vaguely remember), in today's automotive world a performance sports car has to be close to 2000lbs to be considered lightweight and at least 350-400hp.
You can say "if you want a fast drag car go get a domestic." I want a performance sports car that can handle like one(in which case the S2000 excels), as well as have the power to back it up.
And no force induction.
Well that is my only gripe, otherwise the car is pretty good.

reaching over to unlock the passenger door truly is annoying, but I would also reconfigure it just a littttttttle to add some space behind the seats? I'm tall, so the seat is all the way back, hence no space for ANYTHING back there. The trunk is soooo small, I'd like even a small space to stash a CD case, purse, jacket, etc up front...
ummm... lack of a functional glove compartment that can be reached while driving with pulling some cirque de soleil contortionist maneuver.
annoying rattle from passanger side seatbelt when the seat is all the way back.
no adjustable height on seats... i'm over 6 feet so basically the roll bar is completely useless.
fake air ducts and open grill condensor look... wish there were a few choices for aftermarket grills as there are for the Audis...
annoying slippage on shift boot. wish the top of the boot had an o ring or something that attached to the bottom of the shift knob.
but all these are minor gripings that i wouldn't bitch about had i been driving the car all day instead of sitting here at work. overall it's still the best performing, best looking and most fun to drive car i've ever driven (including the NSX). a couple years down the line and i think the next generations of S2k's will show a bit more polish.

Geez..nothing really. I do have to think about this one. But..if there was just one thing...it would be getting in and out of the S2000 without some involved acrobatics.
Okay, so its not that bad; perhaps a characteristic of many sports cars, just my own little gripe!
