I hate the fact that mine has departed this life and that I have to wait for the insurance company to pay up before I can get another!!!!

Nothing that I hate about the car. A couple of very, very minor grumblings>

1) the door locks (as mentioned abovve).
2) lack of a tilt wheel. as a short guy (5'6") I need to move the seat every freaking time I get in or out of the car. (Of course, the moral here is to keep my big Hawaiian butt in the drivers seat and keep on driving). A tilt wheel would add quite a bit of daily driving comfort to my world.
3) no real glove box or storage in the doors (already rectified in the 2002 (Good for you Honda for paying attention)).
4) making the payments. Damn I wish I was rich!!

That's it. Overall, I think it's one hell of a car and one hell of a bargain for the entrance fee.

Actually, I am 5'7" and a big individual so to speak, but I sit with the seat bottom about a quarter the way down the track from the back and the seat back damn near touching the roll bar. And I don't slouch. Most people find this strange, but I find it to be quite comfortable.

Oh, yeah I agree with the manual lock thing. I always forget to push the unlock button on the fob twice!!

At least one thing is easy to remedy. Take the latch part of the belt and tuck the metal tongue into the seatbelt keeper at the top of the seat. Rattle gone.

I took deliver of mine at 3pm today and the car FAR exceeds any of my expectations so far.

My observations so far after 200 miles.
1) The handling and tranny are PERFECT
2) Acceleration is really impressive, I think the low gearing of the car really helps out tremendously (on my way home from the dealer I didn't realize it but I was doing 105 mph at one point, car has 24k miles so it is fully broken in ).
I am coming from a 300zx TT so I was a little concerned I
might be disappointed with the power output.
3) Brakes are very strong
4) It is really quite comfortable/quite until you VTEC. Its like driving my old GSR until you really get into it. It turns from Dr Jekyll to Mr Hyde.
5) The car simply begs to be driving hard around turns, driving on the highway at 65-75 mph was almost boring. I cant say this enough but the shifter is an absolute JOY to row it through all 6 speeds.
6) The heater kept me toasty when I otherwise might be a little cold.

Really my only grip is the CD stereo kind of sucks. You really cant turn it up very loud without it distorting a little. My wife's TL's stereo is like a concert hall compared to the stook.

Payments are definitely a negative.

Its going to be difficult sleeping tonight because I cant wait to drive it in the morning. For me Its like the excitement I had when I was in elementary school and my dad bought his Porsche 911

The lack of tilt steering, the stereo, the depreciation factor..

I Love nearly everything about my S2000..... (1.) It's paid for, which makes it that much more enjoyable. (2.) I'm retired...so I have alot of time and weather to enjoy it to the fullest. (3.) It's absolutely everything that it was billed up to be....AND MORE!!!!!!! If I could think of anything I would like different, it would be that the air dam flaps under front bumper & in front of front tires, didn't hang so low. I'll probably refrain from much in the way of Mods.... I wanted a 1st model, and the White I was looking for, appears to be the rarest of the colors...... So factory is the way I want to keep it.
