Green Filters vs. Comptech
Hi Guys,
I was thinking about a CAI but I just don't want to rip up my engine bay and risk getting water in the engine.
So, I've research stock airbox mods and have done the following to the airbox (as per suggestions of fellow S2Kers):
1: Ripped off the L shaped thing on top
2: Cut out divider
3: Blocked up resonator hole
Now, I plan on replacing the stock air filter with a drop-in because I want less restricting air into the engine and my stock on is getting dirty and needs to be replaced anyway.
I looked up "drop in filters" and used various search terms/phrases but could not find any helpful data as to which is better. I know they're around the same price, but I want to get the right one and be done with it.
So, which is a better drop-in, stock replacement air filter, the Green Filter or the Comptech filter and why? Any difference in performance or sound between the two? Is one louder than the other?
Thanks for your help!
