group by sc for $4400?
I guess its time to drop all of this. It's gone a little too far. This forum is about expressing ideas, and learning about a great car. And most of all, meeting some great people. I'm sure that my words have upset Mike B., but that wasnt my intentions. I just wanted to give people the know how to get a charger at a good deal. I do know how much I paid for the SC when I ordered from the dealer, and do have the forms to prove it. That is all I wanted to say from the start. I'm glad that others have had great expierences with Mike at Comptech. We need to hear those also.
Out of curiosity, does anyone know what kind of 0-60 MPH times one could expect with the Comptech Supercharge?? If the stock Stook pulles low 5's I'm assuming that with the SC we would be well into the 4's to 60MPH and probably in the low 13's, high 12's in the 1/4 mile. Thanks for the input, this seems like a worthy upgrade!!
Richard, does that mean that you will not experience faster acceleration under the same driving conditions? Or in your example does that mean that we will not drop those times without first upgrading other parts? If that's the case then what doest the supercharger do? I don't necessarily mean technically but in terms of performance. I'm just poking around to see if it's worth it for me to start saving for this or not. Thanks for your advice!
Mingster, you do bring up a VERY related issue.
Seems to me, we should be looking for a SC (or turbo), clutch, and LSD combination and vendors should be selling such. I'm definitely saving my pennies for a future go-fast package but I want a reliable package. I really appreciate you early-adopters working out the kinks with Comptech but I only take those kind of risks inside my PC.

Well it all depends on why you are buying the SC. If you are buying it to extract maximum accelleration down the 1/4 mile then yes you will need a new differential and upgraded drivetrain components. Even on the stock power, these parts will not last too long under these conditions
If you are buying it to do track and just accellerate faster from a roll then your stock drivetrain should handle the new power just fine.
BTW, for the guy who asked 1/4 mile and 0-60, my estimate using cartest simulator, and i am sure i can do it, if i had an SC that is, is 0-60 in about 4.2-4.5 seconds and 1/4 mile in 12.5-12.8 range under optimal conditions. This is with an aggressive launch (ie: 5.5k-7k rpm) and fast shifts.
You should still be able to do 0-60 in about 5 flat and a 1/4 mile in 13.3-13.4 with a rolling start (no aggressive launch and only shifting fast).
So an SCd S2k is crazy fast to say the least.
