Default GTR or S2K w/ 50k into it?

Hopefully ill be making a lot of money after my last semester of school with a BA in Economics, and i don't plan on getting married until i have a serious machine. i been debating whether or not i want to build my S2K or go GTR

I know we can give and take with the price but I am giving approximate prices for the sake of the thread.

Option 1
Pick up a nice 20 grand S2K and put 50k into it. (PPG Gears, IP diff kit, Built Motor, IP stage 2 turbo, EMS, Suspension, ect.) Basically your dream S2000. I would not have to pay for labor since i would be doing the work myself.

Option 2
Pick up a GTR for around 70k (Yes yes i know they are usually more, its for the sake of the thread)

Im leaning toward S2K just because I have been so loyal to Honda for years. I don't really need the added luxuries of the GTR (Interior, back seats, insane computer system, ect.) although they are nice. Then again, the GTR is one bad ass machine.

So what is it guys, Option 1 or 2?

HAHAHA.

Get the GTR if you have the money to own and care for a GTR. It's not even a question.

I think I would just get a GEO metro...

haha J/K I think I would take the route of building an unstoppable S2000, because even if you spent 70K on the skyline, eventually you would get tired of its stock power, then you would want to dump ungodly amounts of money into it. BUT with 50K in an s2000, you can legitamately have any amount of power you desire... 600? 700? maybe 800? the choice would be simple for me..

Why put 50K into the S2000?

S2K + 20K (turbo, suspension, ICE, whatever) with 30K leftover sounds better.

Depends.

How old are you?
Do you plan on having a family any time soon?
GTR would suit a family man better.
You could buy an S and just put a decent amount of money into it and still love it and just SAVE the rest.

Why are you so bound on spending 70k?
Just do some decent mods and love the S for less than half of that.

Even if you spend 50K on a s2k, you think you'd be done after 50K? If you're not satisfied at that point, you're going to eventually want to start from a better platform. Why not just take all of that out and start with the GTR.

TBH, I'd rather have a stock GTR, 911 or m3 than have a 70k s2000.

For me, I'd take the GTR b/c I'm getting old enough to appreciate having a nice car out of the box and not having to do too much on the side.

Not having a family until i own a beastly car. These cars will have nothing to do with my needs outside of just owning a beast of a car.

And.....If i build an S2K, I am building it to spank a GTR.

just because you have a degree in economics does not mean your going to have alot of money.

my friend just graduated with a 3.8 gpa and a economics degree. he's a construction worker now

and to be relevant, putting 50k into an s2000 is STUPID.

I got my degree in economics a few years ago...and was lucky enough to get a job straight out of college. My honest advice would be, get the degree...get the job, get a house, then get whichever car you want. The car will keep depreciating under another person's ownership, meanwhile, you're accomplishing all of those other things.

...but then, you already knew that. You're an econ major
