I thought the players run and the Gunball was the same. I know Dustin refered to it as both the gumball and the players run in all the Mischief series. Personally I would like it to still be called Cannonball.
Nope. The Player's Run was started by a guy named Markus, who attended a couple of Gumballs and decided to start his own. (he was in the Black 993 Porsche Turbo, heavily modified, in the Mischief 3000 video documenting the Gumball....I think it was 01 or 02.) If memory serves me right, the Mischief Destroy DVD was from the Player's Run.

(and as a side note...Tekademics, who produced both videos, got shut down and sued by the organizers of the Gumball)

I went on the Player's Run in 04. There was a 350z that participated (HIGHLY modified), an NSX, and an Evo (what we were in for part of the time). Those were the only 3 Japanese cars. The only reason the evo was even allowed was due to it being a second entry to go along along with a Porsche TT. Markus does not think highly of Japanese cars from what I heard.

The Player's Run was the craziest week of my life and I cannot wait to do it again.

You should also consider the AKA Rally. Very similar idea, great guys and a lot of fun. Not very expensive at all.

I believe Tom from St. Louis (can't remember his s/n) did one of those runs a year or two back. Maybe he'll pipe in.
