The only reason we all don't blow our diffs launching from Vtec is because of wheel spin. Use tires that hook up twice as fast and you increase strain on the rear even more. With something like 250whp+, you're talking about even more stress. Search for it... people have indeed blown their diffs drag racing. I feel okay about launching from vtec with street tires and no mods... that's about it.
I see, thanks!

you realize that in drag racing cutting .1 seconds off your 60 foot time translates in to much more than .1 off your ET. .1 off your 60 foot time is usually good for .2-.3seconds off your ET

If you could drop .3 seconds off your 60 foot Id say you'd be running a 12.9

you wont be able to put a vafc in an 06. vafc tunes off the TPS, and 06's are DBW. it wont work so well. you can emanage it though which is actually better.

Last summer, when I only had the 4.57 gears I could get below 14.01 sec. I blame the OEM tires and myself for that. Next summer I'm hoping to get to 13.3-13.6 seconds with the mods I have today.
