Guys and Gals, this is serious...
As you know S2KDays Thunderhill '02 is coming up on June 20-23. We opened up registration a couple of weeks ago and they have been coming in, but we have a problem. We have deposits to pay and checks (big checks) to write and that money comes from your event registration fees. If I had won the Big Game a couple of weeks ago, I would have paid for the whole gig, but I didn't!
So we NEED YOUR MONEY!
This event is the result of literally thousands of person hours. We have a ton of vendor participation, including all the leading companies who cater to the S2000. It's going to be huge, but we can't wait much longer for your registration fees before we have to significantly scale things down...this applies mainly to the hotel in Sacramento. If we don't have the folks registered, we have to give back rooms out of the block that we have reserved JUST FOR US. And I'm serious when I say that once they are gone, they are GONE. There is a huge volleyball tournament that same weekend and they will absorb our rooms immediately.
I realize that people like to procrastinate, but we just can't let the event suffer due to that. Please respect the amount of work that has gone into this and register today. If you don't, it will have to significantly change and that would be bad. And if you wait any longer, at the next review date at the Sheraton, we will give back any un-reserved rooms and if you want to go, you seriously will have no place to stay. ALL the local hotels will be booked because of this tournament...
Additionally, Rick Hesel, a Silver Level event sponsor and huge supporter of the community has donated one of the essential pieces of interior equipment for the S2000 - a leather console cover. For the next 25 people who register, you will be put in a raffle to have one made to your specifications.
And again, the longer you wait, it gets more and more expensive. So help preserve our sanity and register NOW, save some cash and you may win a Rick's Console Cover to boot...how could you go wrong...??
So, please, I'm not begging (yet), but we can't wait...we need your registrations TODAY. Here are two links for information about the event...

Thanks...!
Also, at this point the longest distance of someone coming for the event is an S2KDays veteran and his wife. They are driving from South Carolina...2700 miles ONE WAY. Says something about the event, doesn't it?
REGISTER NOW!!!!
Please

Greg, a few questions.
When is the 2nd review date for the hotel (our "deadline")?
Is the same room rate available on the days on either side of the event (namely sunday night?)
This may have been answered elsewhere, but can we run both track days? The cost of getting everything out there will be prohibitive (ok, ridiculous) for 2 hours of track time.
Thanks

Our final review with the hotel was April 26. This is why we structured the pricing for the event the way we did - to incent people to register so that we had a good base of rooms.
As it turns out - not many people have registered for their rooms. The Club is on the hook for all of the rooms being held. The Club booked these rooms so that we could have an event that was bigger and better than S2KDays last year.
The last day that you can actually book into our block of rooms in May 20. After that the price goes up to $199/night, I think.
Also, our room rate applies for 2 nights on either side of the event.
Please register for the event and book your rooms now!

While I've been known to procrastinate, I'm glad I took care of this early. I'm already registered, have my room reserved and paid for, and have boarding for my dogs ready to go. There's something to be said for early preparation. Last thing to do on my list is to get new rear tires and I'll do that in early June.
I'm registered and roomed so we've got Iowa represented.
I've taken a couple of cross country trips in the S, it's a blast and we're looking forward to seeing herds of topless Hondas.
Hell 1800 miles @ 150 mph only takes 12 hours.
