Sounds about right, actually. Stookie took a quart so far (2570 miles) and looks to need another 1/2 quart tonight. I V-TEC all the time (will actually hold 80 mph in forth gear which puts it at 6000 rpm). Stookie loves it!! Just keep checking the oil and all will be fine.

That sounds perfectly normal to me. My car did not consume any oil during the break-in, but it did consume 1 quart between 7500 miles and 10500 miles. I just did the 3rd oil change and now have 11,200 miles

I used 1 qt every 1000 miles until about 10,000 miles. Usage started tapering off. After an oil change at 11,250, there has been no oil usage through 16,000 miles. Your usage rate is within the expected bounds of what has been reported.

That doesn't sound bad at all. I got my stook two weeks ago with 7 miles on it. I'm only up to 800 miles and have already burned two quarts... hmmm, maybe I have a little problem...

Yeah...scarred me a little at first, but mine drinks oil too.

I find myself checking and pouring oil in the car every other week or so.

Personally during break in period i changed my oil after 1,500k and now i do it every 3,000 miles...i'm kinda fanatical when it comes to changing the oil...i just like to make sure everything is well lubricated.

1 quart + each 1,000 miles on mine... i think that hard driving causes some of that. especially letting off of the gas uses a lot- i try to get on the gas mainly, but you do have to slow down some time!
