Default H.I.D. Bulb replacement

Hi people, Im new to the forums, I just got my s2k like a month ago. Its a 2004 and I need some help with replacing the HID bulbs from the stock ones's (4300K)to the new one's with are 12000k, the bulbs already come in but im a little confused on the way they should be replaced . If any one has any experience with this PLEASE HELP, thanks

There is a post somewhere on here where you can download the PDF of the Helms. It has great explanations and break-down of the entire lighting system and how to service and trouble shoot.

post up some pictures of them when you do get them in. I have been wanting to get new hid's but i dont know what K looks good.

in my opinion, I'd go with something around 5-6k. I've seen and tried alot of diff kelvins but those are the only ones I'm satisfied with. The reason really is 5-6ks are opimum in producing light output without yellow or barely any. With 6k it's definitely more of a light bluish tint while 8k is around 50/50. 12k on the other hand looks a bit pink/purplish and I'm just not feeling that.

i didnt think finding instruction on how to install HID bulbs would be so time consuming

iv had 8k in my 2000 3 series bmw and they were awsome, i ve seen other ones that were more purple and that is the look i was going for i think thay will look HOT!

Probale because not many people had the interest in downgrading their headligts? The stock 4300k are the brightest headlight available and most of us like to keep it that way.
