H I D Projector vs Xenon?
"HID" and "Xenon" are terms use to refer to the same thing. HID headlamps contain Xenon gas.
Regular, non-HID headlamps contain Halogen or Argon gas.
Projector refers to the type of lense the headlamp uses. A projector headlamp may be either HID or non-HID

My understanding is that there are projector housing (like the S driving lights) and reflector housing (like the S high beam).
HID/Xenon are the same as far as I've ever known. Only time I hear a differentiation is when people talk about bi-level xenon on bimmers and the like.

xenon means xenon gas.

go there for more exciting info, such as
"Why is Xenon blue?
Xenon is blue because of light energy distribution produced by gases inside of the bulb. The radiation output of Xenon bulb has a line spectrum with some of the peaks in the visible blue region. "
HID means, High Intensity Discharge. Just another name.
