I was cruising down the highway and this truck infront of me came to a complete stop in the middle of the goddamn road with no brake lights whatsoever! Before I realized it, I slammed on the brakes but it was too late. My brakes locked up on me and plowed the guy from behind. They weird thing is... His car didn't have a single scratch! I hit his stupid tow thing in the back! Police came and I filed a report.
Car still runs smooth, went straight home to see what the damage is like by pulling off the bumper. Notice the fame is bent...! How bad is it? What am I looking at here? I talk to my insurance co and they told me to get an estimate first before they actually file a claim to save me money ($500 deductible + premium goes up). So what do you all think? Is it worth filing a claim or should I just buy a new bumper?

I believe you can replace that metal beam

 

doesnt really look like frame is bent.. just the reinforcement bar.. u can take that bar off and replace it with anotherone

 

get a new bumper reinforcement bar (might be able to find one used, try to find one in silverstone) and now you have a new reason to get that front bumper you always wanted (mugen, asm, amuse, etc..) =D

 

Get a new bumper, reinforcement bar, & you're GOOD !

damn, its a 02. I heard that ap1 and ap2 front reinforcement bumper are different... then again i may heard wrong?
