I've had mine 5 months and probably driven it about 15 times. It sits in the garage, sometimes on cold times I'll go down and turn the space heater on for it
In Raleigh, NC you actually store your car for the winter? I'm in central VA and my S2000 is on the road anytime it's above freezing and the roads are dry....going to be 55 degrees and sunny today!

The only time I don't drive the S is when its precipitation weather. Other than that, I drive her every chance I get.

Granted.

But it's begging to get some miles under the tires!

I don't drive mine that much because I have 4 other vehicles plus a work truck but I still manage to put 5,000 miles per year on the S2000. A few trips to Tennessee helps that out!

I live in northern CA and I still only drive it pretty much on special occasions, mostly because I hate door dings. It stays garaged with a cover. When I drive the s2k, the s2k is the main event, everything else is secondary. Usually if I can't find a parking spot out front where I can see it, I'll eat somewhere else, etc.

I'm thinking of driving it for basically a 3500mi road trip from CA to cut bank montana (near Canada border) and back for a wedding this August. I haven't put many miles on it in the past year and it would be a lot more fun than flying if I take the pacific route through oregon/washington because I have friends along the way and it is beautiful.

Oh, I go over to the unit once a week and and start it up and drive around the facility lot, but that doesn't count at all. If you take your S off the road for the winter, how and where do you keep it?

This winter can't end soon enough!
For the first time in nearly 6 years of ownership, I stored mine this year. I only have a two car garage, and while the car was having some engine work done around Thanksgiving, I was spoiled with my DD being nice and warm in my garage. The S2000 has been 75 miles away in my parents three car garage all winter. I have put 800 miles on the car since the end of September, 300 since the end of November.

The good news is March is just around the corner.

Brand new Dunlop Direzza Star Specs are waiting.

i used to be super anal about harsh weather conditions and how it'll effect the car but recently i stopped caring. i guess i realized every minute i'm not driving the S i'm losing valuable time with it. unless there's a blizzard out i'll try to drive mine as much as possible. (except to work cause the roads are absolutely terrible)

This is the way to be. 20 years from now you won't remember all the time the S2000 was in the garage...you will remember the exciting road trips in the S and the car events you took it to.
