dadgum, they were all right(according to them) But , I had the dealer change the oil and fix the window and ...........
window not fixed and found that they lost the oil cap.

So I have been driving for a few hundred miles with dirt going down that little hole. After having the oil changed on last Friday, the engine noise thru the mufflers sounded funny. It sounds like there is a hole in the exhaust system. Could the lost cap account for this noise, AND what damage might have occurred to my engine due to the dealers negligence?

What do you guys think and I would welcome any suggestions.

thanks
dp

also, the hood insulation has oil on it and it appears that oil has entered the vents, making a nice oily smell in the car........

Spike, Check around for the cap. Others have had this happen and found the cap down behind the engine and it was making noise.

Sorry you too had a flawed service experience. Yes the noise is probably the cap wedged between the engine and firewall.
