Limited choices..

1) work the issue through a dealership.
2) put up with it.
3) sell the car.

I have a '00 model that had the TSB work with less than perfect results. I am doing both 1 & 2 but consider 3 on bad days (worse in hot weather).

No TSBs done cause I heard it does no good..even the 50-50 poll results dont convince me, especially someone actually reported that after the first TSBthe problem became WORST...

Slightly off topic here, but does getting new gears, from say J's Racing eliminate this problem?
Because 1) I love this car 2)I hate the grind...No way i'm gonna sell the car just cause of the grind, but i dont wanna live with it too! If honda can't fix it, maybe aftermarket is the only solution!

Mine is in the shop getting the tsb 1-2 grind, and the rattling clutch problem
worked on. I'll know today if it's fixed or not.
My Honda Service mgr was real cool, didn't give me any flak at all about it.
No driver error excuses.
We'll see. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Now I'm big pimpin in my Mitsubishi Mirage rental.
Oh Boy

Good Luck with yours

I had the TSB done last spring (at about 10000 km). I have had no grinding since. Also had the clutch TSB done at the same time; the original looked almost new. The mechanic stated that this meant I hadn't been abusing my car (ahah! finally proof - tell it to my wife!).

If you're still having gear grind problems, may I suggest that you try RedLine MTL synthetic transmission oil? It may solve your problems.

I had the grind also. The first time, I took it to the Honda shop and they said they repaired it. It started grinding 1 month after I got it back. Now Honda America is saying that it is driving error. BS! If you guys are interested in putting a petition together I am in! I am also going to write a letter to Channel 7 news to the Fight back folks!
