Default Handling of Ap1 / AP2

I guess this is a 2 part question.

1. Handling wise if an AP1 has been modified with Bigger rims, Coil Overs would it have removed the so call twitchness of the AP1?

2. And if so, does this not make the whole AP1 vs AP2 debate in regards to handling kind of void? I say this because most owners and I am assuming here modify their cars suspension wise so why even have a discussion about it since it is no longer the same handling car.

Thanks in advance.

AP2 has VSA. Also while not directly related to suspension the heavier flywheel and clutch lag thingy also make it smoother.

Most owners modify their suspensions? I'm not sure even many owners modify their suspensions. Why would we do that -- Oh, yeah, we know more than the Honda engineers.

Details arfe in the FAQs. Honda tweaked the suspension every year making improvements. AP1 tail twitch was progressively cured with changes to springs, sway bars, and wheel/tire sizes. VSC was introduced in 20006 to help us guys who don't have hours of time to learn to handle the rear end. The CR cars got much different suspensions at the very end.

Hanging the tail out is great fun if you know what you're doing. Few of us have that skill set when we first drive a S2000 -- yep, it's a skill we have to acquire after years of driving our wife's/mom's minivans and our FWD cars. Easy to put a S2000 in the cattails in the MetroParks before that skill is acquired.

Track setup will be different from stock, of course, but most of the suspension -- and wheel/tire -- mods I see here are cosmetic to "stance" the car. Look good for sure (other than the "someone stole my wheel covers black wheels favored by some)! I don't see these cars on the track.

Off the subject but anyone have a link to a Mighty Car Mods test of how many horsepower (or whatever kilowatts are) black wheels add?

Most? That's definitely an assumption.
