Default Hard convertible boot cover

I have seen pics of a red S2K with what looks to be a hard color matched boot. Has any one seen this or know where to get it. This would be great for me since once my top goes down in the spring, it won't come back up for a long time since my S2K is just for fun. Also, has any one tried to color dye the factory piece?

I think you are referring to Tan's solid boot cover (pictured below). I've seen his car in person, just not the boot cover. PM tnguyen0567 for more information.

Dying the black boot, I dunno about that idea. It scratches and bends too much and will wear out very quickly. Tan's is paint matched, so that is extra I'm sure.

I like the idea of a body colored boot. However do not like the way it covers the roll bar openings.

I saw a hard cover from VeilSide USA. Take a look: http://www.veilside.com/veilsideusa/frames.html They call it the Honda S2000 Millenium Model.

In case you are confused (like I was when you go to the VeilSide web site) VeilSide calls this boot cover a "luggage cover". It sells for $470. It does not come apart, and fit in the trunk; in fact, it is screwed onto the car... so it doesn't even come off very easily or quickly.

I like the look, but I would like to be able to take it off. Fitting it in the trunk would seem impossible, but if a company made this product to where it would come off easily, come apart, and fit in the trunk... I wouldn't hesitate to buy it!

even if it isn't that portable, would any of you be interested in a GB on this item? cutting back slightly the $470 price tag?
