Just to let you guys know. My speedster boot does come off easily and does not store in the trunk. It did not come painted. Still hoping for a more flushed model, however I doubt that will ever happen since when the top is down it is not flushed with the body. Cost was $350.00 for the unit and $400.00 for color match paint.
It is strapped down by the two pins on the side of each seat and ridges to hold it to the tops base outline.
