I talked to a dealer today. He says that the Honda hard-tops are available now. Takes a couple of weeks and retail is about $3K + $260 to install. Says they look real sharp.

Has anyone ordered/installed one in the U.S. yet? Got pix?

I believe Barry has one, looks very sharp with the body colored top.

Mugen also offers CF or fiber glass hardtop in a different look.

Honda started taking orders on them on 2-1. We have them for $2790+ shipping (shipping varries from about $100-$200 for truck freight depending on the destination). We usually can have them within about 30 days of ordering from Honda.

Why would you want a hard top? You live in San Diego!

Couple of questions for those with hardtops (or who might know):

How hard is it to remove the hardtop? 20 minutes with two people? Longer?

Does it feel as "cramped" as the soft top?

ChrisD -
The hardtop is very easy to remove about a min to
unlock the locking mechanisms and then however long it
takes for you to move the hardtop to somewhere safe to
store. Putting it on takes a little longer though,
since it's hard to see where the hardtop locking pins
go, plus getting the thing aligned properly. All in all,
I like my hardtop, but with the weather this nice, I took
it off. When we hit the dog days of summer though, I'll
probably put the hardtop back on - a silver hardtop
roof won't be as hot as a black cloth top if you put the
top up while parking and stuff...
