Hardtop will secure your car as far as not getting your top slashed. Other then that it doesn't deter any thiefs away. They can still break your window and get in. Get a good alarm and hardtop is my suggestion.

....and lets not forget....if you have a hard top all that needs to be done is 1 broken winow and you lose your hardtop and your seats.

seriously said before and will be said again: "if they want it they will get it," hardtop or not, s2000 or not.

best security is for you to stow away a mad midget with a shotgun loaded with solid slugs in your trunk to pop out when the slightest disturbance is made to the car. i have one in my trunk. :suprised:

U won't get ur top slashed but they could still break a window. So yea its a little bit more security. But i don't think any one would steal the hard top have not heard to many stories about that. But i think the benifts of a hard top go beyond security looks cleaner, less noise. Just depends on what u want. If ur trying to get it for security than don't get one.Get a garage thats the best security u can get.

I would think it'd deter a casual criminal more than a soft top, but as everyone said... not going to do anything against the hardcore guys.
