Hard top for security?!

i always leave my hard top down when parking at familar places ..looking to get a carbon one tho so ill be showing that off

I still don't think that many hard tops get stolen. Maybe its just me but its not like there as small as a seat is. I can fit a S2000 seat in a car but i can't fit a hard top in one. Ethier way i have insurance for a reason. But hey my S came stock with a hard top

The seats are a far bigger theft target because they can be fitted into several other applications i.e civics, integras, etc. whereas the hardtop is specific to s2k's only so there is a smaller market to sell them.

Also, I doubt many thiefs are going to go to the trouble of removing all the installation hardware associated with the hardtop, and those hardware kits are not cheap so it would be a lot tougher not to mention suspicious to sell a used hardtop without the hardware.

LOL. ignorance is bliss aint it. hardware is cheaper then a hardtop + hardware.

i had a freind that lived down the street from a dude that had THREE hardtops stolen from him over a one year period before he stopped buying them.
