Default Hard top striking plates

Recently purchased an S2000 and loving it
Getting rattles from the hard top / soft top and think I need to change the striking plates
Does anyone know where I can get these in the UK
I have heard that there are uprated ones available
Thanks

From what I know you can use hardtop strikers on the soft top

Actually you can, found a thread that all you have to do is latch it a few times. https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/873878-Soft-top-won't-close-with-new-hardtop-strikers!

Thankfully I bookmarked everything my brother sent to me while I was researching into s2000s... So now I have a few useful threads on chrome lol.

I tried many times to adjust my OEM HT with shims and new striker plates etc. and could not get the rattles to go away (and roads in south Florida are generally very smooth / good condition). I ended up using race brackets to mount my HT, and I have not had as much as a single squeak now in 2-3 years. I have also not taken the top off since I installed the brackets due to it being an involved 1-2 hour job.

I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

I tried to close my latches with the soft top after installing the hardtop strikers, and it was not just difficult... It seemed impossible...

It was not that the latches were difficult and tight... It seemed like halfway to the close position, it somehow "hits a wall" and is impossible to get past this block...

What I think I am reading here, is that when I get to that point, that I should use my hand and push down on the outer/exterior front corner of my top (put some downward pressure on it), and the "block" goes away, and it just becomes an issue of it being a tight fit...

Am I right?

It's too much trouble for me to take my hardtop off to try this ad hoc...so I hope someone can advise here...

Thanks!

When I bought my hard top (used), the seller and I swapped front and rear OEM brackets. My "new" front latches work just fine for both the hard top and soft top. Yes, I get a small squeak going over bumps when the hard top is on, but I can live with that occasional noise. I have no issues with the latches and the soft top.
