The S2K is very rigid by convertible standards, but it's still a noodle compared to some of the stiffest vehicles on the road. And even the stiffest ones still have some flex. For instance, almost all cars will flex a bit when you jack up one corner. Some are more noticeable than others. So while I agree the hardtop may not have a big effect, it likely has an effect on an open cockpit car like the S2K.
