I do live in a desert which is very hot in the summer. Our fall, winter and spring seasons are perfect for top down or convertible use. I love being able to put the top up or down as desired. However, a hardtop option for or searing summers is welcomed. In the middle of our summers its top up most days and nights, so the hardtop provides another option. I like the different look of my S with the OEM hardtop, but I bought the car to be a convertible. I love having the options. I'm with those who prefer to be top down as much as possible. My +1 likes the option of driving to an event, like a date or outing, yet on the way home, she's all for top down, weather permitting.
