Default Hardtop on an 01 in the cold

Hey guys,
I am saving up for a hardtop, possibly Mugen or just the oem one. My MY01 does not have a rear window defroster due to the fact that it has a plastic window. On cold days, does the plastic window get frosty with the hardtop on? If so, do I have to take off my hardtop to clean it or can I just leave my hardtop on and the insulation will not get the plastic window frosty, just the hardtop window? Thanks in advance.

The Mugen hardtop has a plastic window without a defroster as well.

Get an OEM hardtop used off the forum and solve the problem with the defroster built in. You may need to buy a wiring kit, though. I'm not sure. Maybe that was just some '00s.

With an 01, you need to buy the wiring kit and mount kit. It's a bit pricey, but you don't have to worry about the soft top or anything, and the defrost on the hardtop works.

So the oem hardtop comes with or without a built in defroster?
