Hey guys. I'm interested in getting a hardtop for my S but worry about the softtop while the hardtop is on. I know that you keep the softtop down while the hardtop is on the car so I was wondering if over long periods of time being in the "down" position, does the softtop start to have any issues? Specifically I would not want to permanently "crease" the softtop by having it down for a long time with the hardtop on. Can anyone tell me if this or anything else is a problem when using a hardtop? Thanks in advance.

 

i don't have any problems with mines. maybe you might if you have a plastic rear window.

 

yeah i figured the plastic window would be a problem for those who have it but since i'm an MY05, i wasn't concerned with that... mostly just the softtop fabric

 

Yea mine has alot of creases after having it down for a long period of time. Im not sure if they come out if you keep it up for awhile since I put it up once since having my HT. Mines the plastic one too off my 2001.

 

I've never had or heard of any problems from this.

 

I've had my hardtop on for a few months already. I have yet to take it off and check for creases though. I'm sure there will be creases but I doubt it will be that dramatic.
