I'm wondering if anyone knows what the deal with the hardtop is. Is it available in the US? Hard to install? Heavy?

Thanks.

Do a search on "Hardtop" you'll find a lot of information. . .

However, to answer your questions briefly:

a. The hardtop is not yet available in the North America. There's a lot of speculation as to the release date, but no one (except Honda) really knows. . .

b. Based on what's been posted on this board, it doesn't appear to be that difficult to install (may be easier on '01 models) the hardest part seems to be the electrical wiring for the rear defroster. . .

c. The weight is estimated at 44 pounds.

Man.. should I trade my 2000 GS-R in for an S2k come next spring/summer?

I'll be losing the practicality of the hatchback... but DAMN... the S2ks are just SO DAMN NICE!

Kizneda... know of anywhere in the bay area that I can get an s2k for msrp? Should I be putting a down payment on it soon?

I plan on being out there next Summer/Fall after graduating (CS Major).

i've been looking (not very hard though) for an s2000 @ msrp in the area. i've heard that modesto is the closest - one of the members here said he got his for $900 above MSRP. otherwise, look in other states.

NM has been the closest i've found. hit me up if you find any better leads.
