if you really want to get rid of the blind spot, then go and get yourself a Spoon upgraded side mirror attachment that sticks on to the current mirror. It cost like 100 dollars I think, and comes with this blueish tint.

I'm chiming in late but i agree with the others that the hardtop does make a difference as far as blind spots are concerned. The #1 reason i got it was for the looks and the rear defroster (i have a 01 with plastic window), i live in a cold climate so the defroster really comes in handy, hope we helped you out and feel free to ask more questions if needed.
