At the moment I am told by our Honda dealers in the UK that the only colour you can get is black and they will give you an allowance towards having it painted,(how long this is for I dont know)Has any one out there got a hard top which is different than there body colour or even seen one and if so what does it look like, does it suit the vehicle having two colours? I am tempted to experiment!

No no no no no no... just think of it as getting a normal sedan/coupe with a different color on top. Just try to picture it in your mind.

Uh, no.

Someone posted about getting a couple of hardtop owners together and swapping tops to try this out. Don't know if this ever happened. Most likely all color combinations except top the same as car will look strange.

My local dealer here in the UK made no mention when I was enquiring about having the hardtop fitted. All he said was that if Honda UK did not have it in stock it could take a bit of time coming from Japan.
Have you spoken to any other dealerships? You might find that they will do it for you, all they need is the VIN plate number.
Have you looked at this website?

Click on the colours to change either the body or the roof colours to those of your choice. How much did the dealership quote you for the roof?

Anthony

PS Have you tried Europe? Belgium quoting

In the US, you can get any of the colors that have been offered here. It should be the same no matter where you are in the world. They even say that they are painted at the same factory that the cars are made so that the colors match.

That was me. I finally got my hardtop, but I don't know anyone else nearby that has one also.

By mistake, I received a red HT from MG Racing, when I really needed the white. At first, I decided I was going to install it, and then drive to the body shop and have the HT painted white. However, due to problems getting the right install parts, I ended up sending it back. In the meantime, I did check out how it would look, with the red HT sitting on my white S2K. Surprisingly jazzy and pretty cool. It's not a color scheme I would have chosen myself, but it certainly would have been an eye catcher, for anyone who wanted a "different" look. It's a pity I didn't get around to taking a pic of the red and white combo.
