has anyone done this or seen an example - have one color body and a different color hardtop? the S2000's i've seen with a coordinating-color hardtop look somewhat funky becuase of the black tape around the windshield. i was thinking that with a black hardtop, it might look a bit more "together". kind of recalls the NSX-effect?

some quick-and-dirty photoshop work (obviously, i don't do this for a living):

anyway, it's all about taste. just looking for comments. ~

You have a black soft top. Why can't you have a black hard top? I think it looks okay to me. I could see it either white or black. Take your pick.

I think Honda had this concept in mind. Follow this link for Honda's mix-n-match java app.

Ahhhh...IMHO, I think it is OK to mix with soft top but not w/ hardtop...There is something not balance.

There is a burgendy Boxter running around Scottsdale with a silver hardtop and silver 18" wheels that looks really nice.
What about a yellow s2000 with a blue hardtop.

I am envious of those who get a yellow S2000...

precisely! the silver one looks good on the screen, too. i'd love to see one in real life or a real picture of one before buying, though. that's an expensive mistake to make if you don't like the color you end up with. :/
