Hardtop findings
Bassman,
You might want to think about taking off your factory wheels and mounting your snow tires to steel wheels with wheel covers for the duration of the winter.
This preserves your beautiful factory wheels from exposure to the salt and snow on the roads and will keep them looking new for years to come.
An added benefit is that it minimizes the need for technicians to handle (and possibly scratch) your wheels when swapping between summer and winter tires. Of course, you don't need to get the wheels re-balanced either.
I have done this with 2 of my cars and I highly recommend it!

S2000 Driver, thanks for your concern and the tip. However, this already happened to me as you can see from the old thread http://www.s2000online.com/forums/showthre...p?threadid=2313. I originally didn't want to buy an extra set of wheels since my plan was to drive the car this first winter only. But the tire guys scratched all four rims and i negociated half price on a new stock set which now have the summer tires on them. So what's in the hardtop pics are the scratched ones (not too noticable unless they are clean - which is seldom in winter - and you know where to look) with winter tires.
I can also see a benefit if you get more, or less solid steel wheels is that there would be less crud getting onto the discs and shoes during the winter.
This sounds so good, does anyone know of where to get a set of steels that fit at a good price?

Did you connect the DC for the rear window defroster?
Yes, there was a bundled set of electric cable supplied. One end connects to a free socket on a cable at the rear of the center console (i believe it goes to the new heater switch in the console) and to a switch at the rear left mounting point for the hardtop (it disables the softtop switch). The other end of the cable bunch is a new connector on the left plastic panel behind the driver's seat. The window heater cable from the hardtop connects there.
