Default hardtop install

Ok i finally bought a hardtop which is on its way from Texas, the person i bought it from (who is awesome and has kept in touch throughout everything), told me that when he got his hardtop he just re-adjusted the hardware and was good to go... Now from what i've read on here it looks like theres actually quite a bit that needs to be done for install, such as banging some piece of metal and removing door sills etc. HONESTLY, i'm clueless any advice whatsoever is appreciated, what i'm looking for is 1. What needs to be done 2. WHY it needs to be done 3. Is it possible to just lock the latches and go 4. WHAT are the rubber stoppers used on the hardtop for and where can i get them from??????????????

PS i've searched a ton and saw all the steps of the install so search has been done. I'm getting conflicting points thats why i'm enquiring, PSS someone please help me find those rubber stoppers... PSSS if anyone has info on the PVC pipe hardtop stand let me know or if anyone wants to sell one let me know thank you

dont worry its so easy. the rubber stopper is the least you need to worry about. taking all the plastic trim out and putting back on is the hardest and logest part part.

Out of curiousity...what all is the hardware people talk about you needing? Like it I bought the hardtop by itself and it didnt come with anything?

Also when you instal the hardtop is it on there for good. Or on a sunny day when you want the top off is it easy to snatch off and throw back on?

top definately comes off, i know that. As far as the hardware the member i bought it from says the hardware is already on the hardtop itself so i should be good to go

But how long does it take to take the hard top on and off. ike is it a pain in thne ass to take off and put on? Or is it something I could do in a few minutes on and off if it started raining?

Also can I get the hardware needed to instal the top at Honda? Mac...I know this wont help you. But I figured I would just ask here since started another thread on teh same topic would be pointless. Please exscuse the slight jack

I bought an OEM hardtop... Johnny no prob man you can buy the hardware from hardtopguy.com and i heard it cost like 400 bucks to get installed at a dealership.

Anyway so ya i'm kind of stumped on the install thing i'm really worried about the invasiveness of the install i thought i could just re-allign the hardware and latch up

From what the guy told me that I was talking to. If you really wanted he said you can leave teh top down and just put the hardtop on. I dont know how true that is though...
