Hardtop Installation Instructions
Anyone know where I can find a pdf file for MY06?
I'm selling my hardtop but I dont remember what I need to remove other than the side catchers. I vaguely remember having to do something with my defroster wires and etc.

00-06 are basicly the same. If you find one, use it. the early cars just have more steps around the defroster. So all of the steps to install the hardware are exactly the same. With the exception of the front striker on the 02+ cars don't need (can be if you want) to be changed.
You stop once you make that first connection.

I'd like to know about this, too -- specifically, if I order a hardtop (2007) from a dealer, can I perform the assembly and installation myself, rather than have a dealer mechanic do it?
Please share installation instructions, if you find them.
Thanks.

Also there is no 2007 hardtop. There is just a hardtop. Years don't matter. Only the year of the car that matters. The 00 and 01 needed differant wiring for the defroster because the car did not have it to begin with.
Here is the isntallation document.

Thanks, Strat. This is exactly what I wanted.
Any suggestions on where to buy an OEM hardtop? Yesterday, my local dealer quoted me $3,000. Sounds rather pricey to me.
Best,

3K is not that bad for a local pickup. I think HGT is 2800 + shipping, so it may workout better after tax. 3000 + 240 tax (8%) = 3240 and 2800 + 400 shipping = 3200. But get a qoute from HTG on the shipping.

Although I don't have a HT yet, I do have an installation kit that I'm going to install this afternoon.
Looking at the directions to remove the doorsills, I assume that a flathead screwdriver has to be placed under and then pried up? If so ,do you start at the middle or the side of the sills?
I'm a little concerned of bending/breaking one of these pieces.
