Is it really quieter? I've heard from some that it's louder.

It makes mine quieter. Bought mine because I like the optional look it gives the car, like having 2 cars. Also as mentioned before it is better in the winter weather and is more secure.

I don't care much for hard tops because of the extra effort of putting them on and taking them off, not to mention of storing them. If I was given a free one, I suppose I'd take it, but I wouldn't pay even $1K for it. I like the option of putting the top down whenever I want and not have to deal with a hard top or boot cover.

As for quietness, my stereo is ALWAYS on whether to top is up or down. Just my opinion and stance.

Really? I can understand the aftermarket rollbar to a point, but the hardtop? The factory hardtop is just a fiberglass structure. Would it even support the weight of the car?

I'll add one that I've read many times on this forum as to why they bought a hardtop.

Added protection during the winter season for the occupants as well as the soft top.
