Default Hardtop labor hours for a 2000 install

Anyone have an idea of the labor hours it takes for a retrokit install on a 2000 for the hardtop?

I was quoted 2.5 hrs by 3 different dealers in NY. But they still need the car for the entire day.

lucid et. al.,

yes, the honda prescribed time is 2.5 hours.........

however, if a particular dealership has never done a retrofit before, then that time increases dramatically......

when i had my car done, it took them an entire day (8 hours labour).....with that experience under their belt, the same dealer did a fellow board members' car in an hour.

I think it also depends on whether your car vin# needs the extra kit. I have a 2000 and mine didn't need the kit. On mine everything I needed comes with the HT. However the deal I worked out on price included installation so I didn't do mine myself.

2 hours max by youself. If you have a friend that can help maybe :45. It is a very easy install and Honda's instruction are top notch.
