Default Hardtop OEM repaint.

I need to get my hardtop repainted to silverstone. I got quoted $360. I think this is too much! Know any good reputable bodyshops in SO Cali? Experiences?

If they do great work, that is a good price IMO. There is a lot of work involved in a repaint, especially if you want it done right. If you don't care about paint quality, take it to Maaco, they advertise complete paint jobs for the entire car starting at $250.

That's not a bad price at all. I had my HT repainted from Berlina to GPW and the best quote I got from a shop I trusted was $350 as well. Honestly, that hit me just fine given that some of the other reputable shops were quoting me as much as $250 more than that.

I had mine done at the collision shop at Classic Honda in Austin, TX. They kept the car to match the color. The color match was very, very close (the only time I ever noticed a difference was in the garage under fluorescent ligthing, and even then it was minimal). Had it done in 3 days.

ALSO, make sure you tell them NOT to paint the black strips around the windows (unless you want them painted for some reason). I forgot and called the shop about 30 minutes after I'd left the car, and I got very lucky. Had I not told them, the black strips would have gotten painted.

thats great advice, ill make sure to tell them not to paint the stripes. I heard honda paint (especially s2000) is very hard to match. I guess this is somewhat true.
