Hello Guys!

I got a question for you.

I have 01 model, and looking into buying a 02+ hardtop with 02+ mounting kit from a local guy.
I read and heard that I need different mounting kit for 00 and 01.
Does that mean I have to get whole new mounting kit? or can I still use 02+ mounting kit and maybe get some missing parts from the dealer?
If there's no need for me to get the 02+ mounting kit, I might as well just get the hardtop without a mounting kit from this guy.

I think the only difference is that the 02+ mounting kit does not come with the defroster wiring, because they came from the factroy with a defroster for the glass rear window. So it should fit fine, minus the defroster not working.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong please

 

its the same the only difference is the wiring thats all. if u have an 00-01 they will send u the defroster switch too.
