Default hardtop questions

What's the usual price range for used hardtops?

I've been told that I could probably attach the hardtop and safely drive it home without the attachment kit from hardtopguy. Any thoughts on that?

Alternatively, would the hardtop fit in the trunk or back seat of an Accord sedan?

Oh, and, all silverstone models are exactly the same color, right?

Thanks!

Probably from $1700-$2200 depending on the condition. You can probably drive the top home without the "kit" but that would be extremely unsafe. I dont think you should drive without the hardtop side catchers. All silverstone are the same. No the top would not fit in an accord. Maybe if the accord backseats fold completely down. I had to pick mine up with a van.

Picked mine up in a Tahoe. It just barely fit sideways and would not have fit facing the front. It is larger in the back than your soft top and it also has the catcher pins sticking out. It is also very awkward to handle.

Driving without the catchers will probably damage the finish on your trunk and rear quarters and also may overstress your front strikers and catches.

You should rent or borrow a full sized truck or van.

Thanks!

The plan is to pick it up tonight with a Land Bruiser. I can't wait!
