It is a major PITA to remove. I have removed my twice for repainting from "incidents". A shop manual really helps because there are something like 8 slightly differenty types/sizes of fasteners and if you mix them up putting it back together, things will squeek.

Man, that sucks. If it wer my car, I'd serously do some touch-up paint and leave the hardtop on. If you feel like riding top down, after a while, you won't forget it's there, but I don't think it'll bother you as much.

My 2 cents has been deposited.

Thanks for your replies.

Where can I get this manual? and preferably in swedish (english works though).

And yeah i wish i could leave the HT on, and just ignore it but the thing is i want to be able to sell my s2k in the future and i want it to be 100% OK, everything else is like brandnew but that doesnt help if the paint that follows that list isnt as it was from the factory. Im very careful/accurate when it comes to my cars, just a minor scratch and its like almost the end of my world so this is hell.

Btw "touch up paint" is that like a method or something (pardon my bad english)? The problem is according to my "paintman" is that normally you need like an edge or something similar and paint it around but since this list meets the paint its hard to get it good. Is there any method he might not know about?

The back of your owners manual should have an order form for the shop manual. You can get an english one from "handaccessories.com". They also have paint pens there.

Here in the USA we have a companies that can do air brush touch up jobs that look ok, but not perfect. Usually the dealers know how to get a hold of them, because they use them to touch up used cars before they put them on the lot.
