Hardtop on for Winter
A great day in Milwaukee today and the last day with the top down. Took advantage of the warm day to put my hardtop on for the winter after one last topless ride in the country. My02 is not a winter car but will venture out so long as there is no salt or snow. I love the car with hardtop on and with it off. Each offers a very different look and feel.
I'm in Waukesha and I just got my S on September 1st. I put my hardtop on about three weeks ago and I've found that I should have waited until the end of October. I'll get it right next year.
We've had some great days for topless driving. Today was especially nice. Still had hardtop fun at 125mph on Hwy 43!!

Yes I did buy a hardtop even though I don't drive the car in the winter very much. I figured it was a great option that looked great on the car. Money was not the driving force in my decision obviously. The driving force was wanting all the options for the car. My goal is to keep the car a very long time. Money is relative and 10 years from now I would have kicked myself for not getting one with 2002 dollars.
I don't think that's odd at all since I did exactly the same thing as boatnurd. The hardtop looks great and is very nice once the temperatures get too low for top down driving. I've gotten lots of compliments on the hardtop.
Must be a Wisconsin thing...

Must be ...
Stored my car last winter for 3 months. Never again. I'm too old to not get as much fun from this car as I can while I can.
Bought a used hardtop and some all season tires. There are just too many decent driving days over the winter season to pass up. I am retired and have the option of using it when it is appropriate (no snow and salt).
I'm still hoping to get another one or two top down days but will be putting the top on soon.
Then there is always the possibility of a road trip south to find some top down weather ...

You stated correctly that money is realtive but then contradicted yourself by saying you would have kicked yourself for not getting one with 2002 dollars.
Um, since its relative wouldnt the cost of the options be "relative" to the time? For instance would it cost the same RELATIVELY in 2014 as today? Cmon man, learn to think better or learn to type what you are thinking better. I think its the former.
