Maybe but they are still available through some dealers. There was a thread last week on price. Do a search and I think you will find a few.

No, it's not. You try to find a price quote for shipping a package that is 3'x5'x5' and weighs 114 lb.

They charge by "dimensional" weight and not necessarily by actual weight.

Get the '06 Hardtop kit. It fits your '00. What Honda did was no longer to include the wiring to enable the defroser in the '01 and '00. Otherwise, there is enough parts in the '06 kit to install the top mechanically.

If you don't intend to install the defroster, then you are done after you buy and install the '06 top.

If you want to install the hardtop defroster wiring, then you need to acquire the wiring to fit your vehicle. The vehicles earlier than '02 did not have an in-dash defroster switch, so you need to get the switch that installs in the cupholder area, as well as the harness and defroster relay that completes the install on the pre-'02's.

There is one additional twist in that the earliest '00 models (low VIN's) needed a special additional wire (ground wire) that they forgot to put in the defroster wiring going to the switch. You will have to do a little research to find out the cut-off VIN.

My dealer today said 3200 with everything. Seemed a bit high compared to the hardtop how much thread.

And $400 for shipping seems very high. I have gottin a few motors shipped for under $250.
