harness bar
If you roll over while using the harness setup in the pictures, your bare head will help protect the top of the factory roll hoop trim from getting scratched. At least until your neck breaks because of your torso being constrained from moving by the harness. If your intention is to protect the roll hoop trim, you're on the right path. If, however, you want to protect yourself during a rollover, it's recommended you either keep the factory 3-pt with the roll hoops, or install rollover protection with any 4/5/6pt harness.

Did you even bother to look at the pictures before commenting? Please take a look and explains how I could hit my head on this.

I'm just reading this and it's very good. My local track club will be asking for a harness bar for full track sessions from now on. However they won't be require the harness in half/short track sessions. I was looking for info for harness bar. But my concer was only the looks of the bar in the car and the convertible top movement with the bar.
I did't realize that the harness bar will be a death trap. It makes perfect sense. It's a no no for me. I guess I will only running half/short sessions from now on.
