Default Has anyone ever had 1 wiper jet working?

I was driving on the road today and I noticed that there were specks on my windshield. I decided to clean my windshield with the wiper and the fluid and discovered only one jet working. I looked at both nozzles on the hood and could see nothing blocking the nozzle. I also lifted up my hood to see if there was something that was pressing up against the hose and I could see nothing.

Has this happened to anyone and if so, what was your solution?

When I get home I am going to try wiping the nozzle down and see if that would rectify the problem.

Yep! several times. The first time I used the washers only one worked. It's happened several other times when it's been a long time between uses. Sometimes I use a pin to open up the jet, other times it just works itself out.

Im having the same problem with my driver side washer jet. I thought it might be that my fluid was low or something. Ill stick a pin in there and see if I can free it up.

They are pretty easy to take off. I would pop them off when I waxed. Anyway, open the hood and pull the hose off the back of the nozzle. I can't remember exactly how they pop off, but it should be clear when you take a peek. Once the nozzle is off, blow through it then take it to the sink and run some water through it. I was never really able to poke stuff free with a pin.

My driver side one never worked from day 1 (over a year). I was thinking to mention to them when I bring my S in the next time to the dealer, but I am going to try what Nin009 said. Thanks. I did the poking a pin thing, checked the hose connection, etc. but no avail.

Thanks, I have tried using a pin and it worked. It took a little bit of time but eventually the pin cleaned it out.

Thanks

I think for next time I may look at removing the nozzle as suggested by nin009.

My driver side never worked from day 1, got one on order now, along with my driver side auto-down mechinism on the door. Tell your dealer they should order you a new one.
